1 pound salmon fillets
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup orange juice (fresh squeezed from approximately 1 orange)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon cornstarch (whisked with 1 teaspoon water, optional for a thicker glaze)
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Orange slices for garnish (optional)
Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the salmon fillets, skin side up, and cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown on the top.
Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside, tenting with foil to keep warm.
In the same skillet, whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and cornstarch slurry (if using).
Bring the mixture to a simmer, and cook for about 30-60 seconds until it thickens.
Return the salmon to the skillet and coat with the glaze.
Garnish with fresh parsley and orange slices if desired.
Serve warm.
