Bistro-Style Steak
A classic steak dish featuring a flavorful pan sauce, perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
Directions:
Season steaks with salt and pepper.
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Cook steaks to desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Remove steaks and set aside.
In the same skillet, add red wine and beef broth, scraping up any browned bits.
Simmer until sauce reduces by half.
Stir in butter and thyme leaves.
Serve sauce over steaks.
