These Crispy Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are the perfect combination of crispy, tender salmon coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce. The salmon is seared until golden brown, then tossed in a flavorful sauce made with honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. The crispy exterior contrasts beautifully with the juicy interior, while the honey garlic sauce adds a sweet, sticky finish. These bites are great for a quick dinner, appetizer, or as a flavorful addition to your next gathering. For those looking for a lighter version, you can substitute the honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for a slightly different flavor.
Ingredients:
1 ½ lb salmon, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
¾ tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp olive oil (divided)
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
¼ cup honey
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 tsp chopped chives
Directions:
Pat the salmon cubes dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, ensuring a crispy texture when searing. Season the salmon with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon cubes in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes, turning frequently, until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove the salmon and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
Add the crispy salmon cubes back into the skillet and toss to coat in the honey garlic sauce.
Serve the salmon bites over a bed of steamed rice, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped chives.
