This Nutella Swirled Banana Bread is a deliciously indulgent take on the classic banana bread. Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated white sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe banana
1/3 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray or butter.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the sugar and butter until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the mashed banana, yogurt (or sour cream), and vanilla extract; beat until combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing on low speed until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
In a separate bowl, soften the Nutella in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Add 1 cup of the banana bread batter to the Nutella and mix to combine.
Alternate spooning the Nutella batter and the plain banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Use a knife to swirl the two batters together.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Check the bread at 45 minutes and cover it loosely with foil if the top is browning too quickly.
Let the bread cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
