These Cinnamon French Toast Sticks are a delicious, easy breakfast option that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfectly coated with cinnamon sugar after frying, they make a fun and tasty alternative to traditional French toast.
4 pieces thickly sliced toast (homemade or store-bought)
2 eggs
¼ cup milk (evaporated or regular)
¼ teaspoon salt
4-5 tablespoons sugar
½ to 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
Butter (for frying)
Cut the crusts off the toast, then cut each slice into sticks about 1 inch thick.
In a bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and salt.
On a plate, mix the sugar and cinnamon powder.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Dip each toast stick into the egg-milk mixture, coating all sides, and shake off excess.
Place sticks in the pan without touching each other. Cook until golden brown on all sides, turning as needed.
Roll cooked sticks in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
Serve warm and enjoy!
