This Cheesy Hot Beef Sandwich is a savory, comfort-filled dish made with a generous combination of cheesy ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, and fresh vegetables, all nestled inside a soft hoagie roll. The rich and creamy filling, flavored with Montreal steak spice, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic, creates a mouthwatering meal that brings together the perfect balance of savory and cheesy flavors. The hearty ground beef pairs beautifully with the umami of the mushroom soup and the melty cheddar cheese, while the bell peppers add a slight crunch and freshness. You can also spice it up with sriracha or jalapenos if you enjoy some heat. This dish is ideal for a quick weeknight dinner, a casual lunch, or a hearty snack any time of the day.
6 hoagie rolls
2 tablespoons avocado oil (or any oil of your choice)
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons Montreal Steak Spice
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ¼ cup cream of mushroom soup (or 10.5 oz can of store-bought cream of mushroom soup)
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1-2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
Heat 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, and sauté for 7-10 minutes.
Sprinkle in the Montreal Steak Spice, then add the chopped bell pepper and minced garlic. Cook for 3 minutes.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until it melts and the mixture becomes creamy.
Spoon the cheesy beef mixture into the hoagie rolls.
Serve the sandwiches warm and enjoy!
