This Bacon Brown Sugar Garlic Chicken is the perfect combination of savory and sweet, making it a standout dish. The brown sugar caramelizes as the chicken cooks, creating a sticky and slightly sweet glaze that pairs perfectly with the savory, smoky bacon. Minced garlic adds depth, while the crispy bacon keeps the chicken juicy and flavorful. It’s simple to prepare and sure to impress—perfect for a weeknight dinner, family gatherings, or when you’re craving a little indulgence. You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts for even more flavor and juiciness.
Ingredients
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
3 tablespoons garlic, minced
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4-5 ounces each)
12 slices bacon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Coat the chicken breasts evenly with the brown sugar mixture.
Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of bacon, making sure the ends of the bacon are tucked under the chicken to prevent unraveling.
Place the wrapped chicken into a baking pan with at least 2-inch high sides.
Sprinkle any remaining brown sugar mixture over the chicken.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and browned.
Be careful not to let the sugar burn and blacken.
Serve hot and enjoy!
