1 white onion, diced
1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mama seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
12 corn tortillas
Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
In a large skillet or frying pan, cook ground beef, onions, and jalapenos over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink and the onions are tender.
Add Slap Ya Mama seasoning, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the beef mixture. Stir well to combine and drain any excess grease.
Wipe the pan clean and heat oil over medium-high heat.
Using tongs, place one corn tortilla at a time into the hot oil. Flip it over and add a spoonful of the beef mixture along with a generous sprinkle of cheese.
Fold the tortilla in half and fry until crispy and golden brown on both sides.
Remove the tacos from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve the tacos on a platter with your favorite toppings such as avocado, sour cream, or salsa.
