Garlic and Rosemary Beef Tips is a comforting, savory dish featuring tender beef chunks simmered in a rich sauce flavored with garlic, rosemary, and red wine. Perfect served over jasmine rice, this recipe is simple to prepare and makes a satisfying meal.
1 ½ to 2 lbs beef tips (cut into 1-inch chunks)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 cup flour
1 diced onion
2 tablespoons minced garlic
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup dry red wine
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 cups beef broth
1-2 sprigs rosemary
1 sprig fresh thyme
Salt and pepper, to taste
Season beef with Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss beef in 1/4 of the flour.
Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Brown beef in batches on all sides. Set beef aside.
Sauté diced onions in the same pot until translucent.
Sprinkle remaining flour into onions and stir until flour is no longer visible.
Add garlic and cook briefly.
Pour in red wine and stir, loosening browned bits from the pot bottom.
Return beef to the pot, add beef broth, rosemary, and thyme.
Bring to a simmer, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until beef is fork-tender.
Remove thyme and rosemary sprigs before serving.
