These Kafta Kebabs are a delicious and easy-to-make Lebanese dish, perfect for grilling. Made with lean ground beef, fresh parsley, onions, and a mix of aromatic spices, these kebabs are full of flavor and can be ready in under 30 minutes. Whether you're grilling outdoors or baking in the oven, these juicy and tender kebabs are a hit at any meal!
1 medium yellow onion (quartered)
1 cup fresh parsley (washed and patted dry)
600 grams lean ground beef
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp seven spice (pre-mixed spice blend)
⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, adjust to taste)
In the bowl of a food processor, combine quartered onion and fresh parsley. Pulse until finely chopped.
In a large mixing bowl, add ground beef, finely chopped parsley and onion mixture, and all of the spices. Mix thoroughly using your hands.
Shape the mixture around skewers, making the meat about 1-1.5 inches thick.
Preheat a gas grill to medium-high heat, brushing the grill with oil to prevent sticking.
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4 minutes on one side. Turn the kebabs and cook for another 4 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through.
Serve immediately, optionally with pita bread, hummus, or a fresh salad.
