Substitute chicken tenders with eggplant cutlets for a meatless version or use your favorite bread if Hawaiian rolls aren’t available.
For the sliders:
12 Kings Hawaiian rolls (or slider-sized rolls)
1 pound chicken tenders, cooked
½ cup marinara sauce
8 slices provolone cheese
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
For the butter topping:
¼ cup (57g) butter, melted
1 teaspoon sea salt
3 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Split the rolls in half and place the bottom half into a prepared baking dish. Set the top halves aside.
Layer 6 slices of provolone cheese over the bottom rolls, then top with the cooked chicken tenders. Spoon the marinara sauce over the chicken, followed by the sliced mozzarella and chopped basil.
Place the top halves of the rolls over the layered ingredients.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, sea salt, minced garlic, fresh parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the sliders are golden brown.
Slice and serve warm.
