Churros Poppers are bite-sized fried dough balls coated with cinnamon sugar, making a perfect sweet treat or snack. This quick and easy recipe uses simple ingredients to create fluffy, cinnamon-spiced poppers that are crispy on the outside and soft inside. Great for parties, game nights, or anytime you want a fun and delicious dessert.
½ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup water
2 ½ tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
Oil for frying
In a medium bowl or brown paper bag, combine ½ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; set aside.
Heat about 2½ inches of oil in a deep fryer or deep pan to 375°F (190°C).
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine water, 2½ tablespoons sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Stir in flour until the mixture forms a ball of dough.
Once dough is cool enough to handle, scoop and lightly roll it into walnut-sized balls.
Fry 3-4 dough balls at a time, avoiding overcrowding, until golden brown.
Remove from oil and immediately toss in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Repeat with remaining dough and serve immediately.
