"After only three sessions my anxiety had greatly diminished.  After five sessions I am now having days where I feel completely like my old self-again; it is complete Bliss! This teaching truly makes sense on such a spiritual level, I now know I am going to overcome this and am on the path to complete recovery. I am so grateful for finding Peter! Thank-you so much!"

During these online therapy sessions I will teach you how to use mindfulness for facilitating recovery from all forms of anxiety, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, depression, and for help with and other forms of emotional suffering, by applying the very practical techniques of Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy.

This approach is extremely effective and you can expect to experience tangible changes after the first 2-3 sessions with me.

Online Mindfulness Psychotherapy is very effective for managing anxiety and depression without using drugs. It is far better to treat the underlying psychological cause of your psychological suffering instead of just treating symptoms.

Mindfulness Therapy for Driving Anxiety & Phobia

A very popular request is for help overcoming a fear of driving. Driving phobias are quite common and are usually resistant to standard "talk therapy." I have developed an approach called Mindfulness-based Exposure Therapy, where I will work with you via Skype, while in your car. People really respond well to this and most see dramatic improvements after the first few sessions.

Standard counseling can be beneficial, but often common talk therapy does not alter the underlying psychological process that is the real cause of your depression or anxiety.

This also applies to the use of medications - the antidepressant may provide a temporary relief from symptoms for a while, but medications are not going to change the underlying process that produces the emotional pain.

The type of psychotherapy that I teach online is known as Mindfulness Therapy, which can be quite powerful for overcoming anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression or other emotional problems resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most people see significant reduction in the level of anxiety and depression after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.

Online Therapist for Anxiety Disorders

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I provide online therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression, OCD and many other common emotional psychological problems. As an online therapist for anxiety I specialize in teaching mindfulness skills for managing the anxiety and the reactive thinking that supports the anxiety.

Mindfulness therapy is extremely effective for helping you break free from those automatic habitual patterns of reactive thinking that fuel anxiety and panic attacks and other anxiety disorders. When we learn how to apply mindfulness we actually learn to sit with our emotions, we learn to meditate on our emotions. So, I will teach you exactly how to do this, how to sit with your anxiety, how to meditate on your anxiety, without becoming overwhelmed by it and without becoming reactive. This is the essential training that's needed to change the habits of reactive anxiety.

The real problem is that we simply are not conscious of this habit of becoming caught up in reactive thinking we get lost in patterns of worrying, of rumination and excessive thinking, which simply feeds the anxiety. But with mindfulness training you learn how to become an observer. You learn how to sit with the emotions and with the thoughts without becoming lost in them, without becoming overwhelmed by them, without becoming essentially controlled by your emotions or your thoughts. This process it isn't quite easy to learn if you get good guidance. You have to learn how to meditate on your emotions. Common mindfulness meditation practices usually involve meditating on the breath and this is a good relaxation exercise, but it will not really help you with your anxiety.

You have to meditate on the cause of your anxiety, which is your relationship to your emotions and your thoughts. If that relationship is unconscious then your emotions and thoughts will govern you, you will be controlled by them. They'll be little choice.

But once you start to develop more consciousness around the anxiety and the thoughts then you begin to break free from them. You begin to neutralize the effects of these reactive emotions and thoughts on you. This approach is VERY EFFECTIVE and most of my clients see big improvements after 3-4 sessions.

If you'd like to learn more about mindfulness therapy and you'd like to schedule a session with me as an online psychotherapist to help you, then please go to my website and send me an email, and we can schedule Skype therapy session at a time that works for you.

Online Mindfulness Therapy for Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional therapist and I offer online therapy via Skype for treating anxiety and for help overcoming anxiety and for work on addictions and many other emotional problems that respond well to online therapy.

If you're interested in talking to an online therapist for help overcoming anxiety, then I recommend that you look at my site and then feel free to contact me so that I can address your particular needs and explain to you how this online therapy process works.

Most people really enjoy online therapy and it's particularly good if you're suffering from anxiety because it's often very difficult to face going to see a therapist in their office; it is too intimidating for many people. And if you're suffering from panic attacks or agoraphobia or driving anxiety, then that makes it very, very difficult to see a therapist in their office.

So as long as you can see each other, which we can do, of course, using Skype, then really there's no difference between seeing a therapist via Skype compared to meeting in person, especially if you're really interested in learning techniques, learning methods of working with your emotions more effectively, because that's really what's what I do during our sessions together. I will teach you very practical ways of working with your anxiety to reduce the anxiety, to neutralize the anxiety producing habits.

So anxiety is basically a habit. It is a series of emotional reactions that are habitual in nature and that operates subconsciously because they are habitual. So any habit can be changed if we bring more conscious awareness to it and start to work with it consciously, we can undo that habit. It's really no different than any other habit that, you may be considering changing in your life.

The primary ingredient is to bring conscious awareness to it and not to try and avoid the habit. This is the biggest mistake that I see happening. People run away from their anxiety. They try to avoid situations that trigger their anxiety. They become so identified with being an anxious person that they become trapped by that process of reactive identification.

So these are the kind of problems that all thrive on the absence of consciousness, on blind acceptance, and mindfulness is a way of training out of these habits of blind acceptance and identification.

So the main way that we go about doing this is to deliberately cultivate a path of meditating on your anxiety. You need to find the triggers that trigger the habitual anxiety reactions and you need to meditate on those.

And meditation is best described as a training process. It's a way of bringing very focused and concentrated conscious awareness to the problem in hand. It's about helping you become free from those conditioned reactive habits. The more you see them, the freer you become.

So establishing this internal relationship between your True Self and the emotions, the emotional pain, is really, really central to Mindfulness Therapy, at least as I teach it, the particular style that I teach that involves meditating on the emotions.

We do not use meditation to escape from the emotions. We use meditation to bring conscious awareness to the emotions because that is precisely what they need to heal. So this is a path of really stopping that habit of avoidance because that simply feeds the problem.

So whatever the form of anxiety, whether it's generalized anxiety disorder with it is social anxiety disorder, whether it's panic attacks, whether it's driving anxiety, whether it's a phobia, whether it's agoraphobia, fear of flying. Whatever form of anxiety you are struggling with, they will all benefit tremendously from learning how to apply mindfulness and mindfulness meditation correctly to help them heal.

So if you'd like to learn how to do this and you like the idea of working online with a therapist for help with your anxiety, then please contact me. Thank you.

How to overcome anxiety disorder without medication

I will be most happy to answer your questions about therapy via Skype, and when you are ready, you can a Skype session with me. I typically see clients once-a-week for the first few weeks.

My name is Peter Strong and I provide online therapy for anxiety and other emotional problems that don't require medical treatments. So if you'd like to learn how to overcome anxiety disorder without medication then please go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service.

I employ mindfulness therapy as a way of working with the underlying psychological process that causes anxiety disorders. Essentially we have to change the underlying emotional habits, the blind reactive hobbits by which we become identified with the emotional reaction to triggers. Triggers could be events, it could be social interactions, it could be driving a car, it could be thoughts. Whatever the trigger, the effect is that it triggers this internal psychological reaction, and it's a conditioned process, that is, it happens unconsciously without us being aware of of what's happening.

So the first part of mindfulness therapy is about uncovering these unconscious habits by which we, if you like, fall into the trap of becoming reactive and suffering with anxiety or depression. So this is the most important thing, we have to uncover these habits and mindfulness provides a very, very effective way of doing this. Mindfulness is really a form of consciousness that we apply to the emotional habits that are causing problems for us.

We learn to, essentially, meditate on our anxiety and on the triggers that promote that anxiety. We focused conscious awareness on them, and then when we make them conscious then we can bring in the element of choice. We can begin to counter that habitual reaction to those triggers, and through time we we can desensitize ourselves, we can neutralize that habitual reaction, altogether, so that you can be in the anxiety producing situation without being overwhelmed by anxiety. So, this is what we explore during mindfulness therapy sessions and I will teach you practical mindfulness-based methods for working with your emotional reactions so that you can break free from them.

It's quite effective, and most people see dramatic changes to three to four sessions of mindfulness therapy once they start to really become more conscious of these emotional habits.
