Everyone that I have worked with really likes the mindfulness approach that I teach for healing emotional suffering…

"I unreservedly recommend engaging Peter’s services in, what has been for me, an extremely effective method of learning about my inner self in ways that I’ve never been able to achieve before."

During these online counseling sessions I will teach you mindfulness-based methods for working with all forms of anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, OCD, chronic depression, and addiction, including alcohol addiction and other emotional problems, by using the well-tested methods of Mindfulness Meditation Therapy.

This approach is remarkably effective and most people see noticeable changes after 3-4 online sessions with me. Things really change when you start applying the mindfulness methods that I teach between sessions.

Online Mindfulness-based Skype Therapy is highly effective for stopping anxiety and depression without using anti-anxiety medications and antidepressants. It is far better to treat the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression instead of just trying to manage symptoms.

Online Therapy for overcoming Anxiety and Panic Disorder

Please feel free to email me if you would like to learn more about Online Therapy with me.

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional online therapist and I provide online therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression and many other common psychological problems that don't require medical treatment, that don't require medications, but can benefit from learning practical and effective strategies from managing the underlying reactive thinking and emotional reactivity that creates anxiety and depression.

So if you're looking for an online therapist for anxiety I do encourage you to go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service. It's very popular and people really like the idea of online therapy. It's much more comfortable for you. And it's less intimidating, it's less clinical in nature, and much more focused on what we really need to address, which is learning practical ways of working with our emotions.

Now, I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy, which is particularly valuable for learning how to overcome anxiety and emotional reactivity in general. It allows us to break free from those underlying habits of reactivity that keep us in a state of suffering and prevent us from being who you want to be.

In reality, these are just habits. anxiety and depression are best understood as being psychological habits rather than being psychological illnesses. They are habits that are conditioned. We don't come into the world with anxiety or depression. We learn anxiety and depression and fear and other forms of emotional suffering. We learn them, and that tells us right there that these are best looked at as being habits and habits can be changed once you start breaking free from that process of becoming automatically lost in your emotional reactivity or cognitive reactivity.

This is the problem that we call "reactive identification" and that's really the heart of the problem, where anxiety or depression gets triggered and then we simply become overwhelmed by the anxiety and depression, we become consumed by it. And this simply feeds the habits. It's rather like an addiction. So we just become helpless at resisting the impulse to indulge further in the substance, if it's an addiction, or the emotional reactivity in the case of anxiety and depression.

So we change this habit by bringing mindfulness to it, which is really a form of consciousness. We learn to develop a more conscious relationship with these habits. And this is really, really important for breaking that automatic unconscious force that causes us to become lost in the habit.

So that's the first part of mindfulness therapy, learning to break free from the automatic and blind aspects of our emotional habits. The second part of Mindfulness Therapy is about healing the emotional suffering directly. And this we do by developing a mindful relationship with our emotional pain that is based on friendliness and compassion.

These are two key ingredients of mindfulness: friendliness and compassion. So friendliness refers to this process of, if you like, approaching the emotional suffering rather than running away from it or trying to avoid, or trying to suppress it. It's about opening awareness to embrace that suffering to help it heal. And compassion is that process of helping the anxiety or depression heal. And this is something we develop through training with those emotions. We deliberately bring those emotions into the mind in order to develop friendliness and compassion and we can help those emotions change and heal through that relationship.

So this is part of what I teach online during Skype therapy sessions. If you would like to learn more, please email me. See a therapist online for anxiety over Skype or FaceTime or Zoom

If you would like to see a therapist online for help with anxiety, I invite you to contact me and tell me more about yourself and how I can help you, and then we can schedule a session via Skype to help you overcome your anxiety.

So many people, these days, really like the convenience of online therapy for their anxiety. It's much easier and it's also just as effective, as long as you use a video platform like Skype.

If you can see each other, then the effectiveness of communication is just as good as it is seeing a therapist in person.

So if you'd like to see an online therapist for help with generalized anxiety disorder or social anxiety disorder or OCD or for agoraphobia or any other form of anxiety, then please email me and we can schedule a session at a time that works for you.

The style of psychotherapy that I offer via Skype is called Mindfulness Therapy and this is particularly effective for anxiety.

Basically during the online sessions, I will teach you how to apply mindfulness for working with your anxiety, for neutralizing those anxiety reactions that have become habitual.

We do this by actually learning how to meditate on our emotions and our thoughts using mindfulness meditation, where we make the emotion the central focus of your meditation.

We learn how to build a relationship with your emotions whereby you do not react or identify with those emotions, but are able to sit with the emotion in very much the same way that you would be able to sit with a child that was in pain.

In order to be comforting to the child and help the child you need to be able to sit with the child without becoming reactive, and that the first stage of mindfulness training. We call this developing equanimity, which simply means that you can sit with your emotions without becoming reactive, in that same way.

When you can do that then you can respond to the anxiety, or other emotions that you have detected that feed that anxiety, in a way that helps them heal.

So the first step is not making the anxiety worse by reacting to it. The second stage is learning how to respond to your anxiety with compassion, how to help that anxiety heal, and one of the primary ways we do this is by building that very relationship itself, the relationship between your True Self. And the emotion, which we often call the Little Self.

When that anxiety feels the presence of your True Self then that facilitates the healing and resolution of that anxiety. In most cases the real reason why the anxiety does not heal is because it becomes isolated from your True Self. And that is similar to the situation in which a child is abandoned and isolated from its parents. It needs its parents in order to overcome its own fear and to grow in a healthy way.

And so it is with our emotions. Typically they become isolated and cut off from our True Self, and this prevents them healing.

So during mindfulness meditation we strive to re-establish this relationship between your True Self, the Observer, and the emotion itself. This is the first stage of mindfulness therapy for anxiety. And there are many other aspects of Mindfulness Therapy for anxiety, which you can learn about by spending more time on my website and reading more of the pages there and watching more of the videos on my website.

But if you'd like to get started with me and see for yourself just how effective online Mindfulness Therapy is for treating anxiety, then simply email me and we can schedule is Skype Therapy session for your anxiety.

Most people see results within the first three to four sessions. The mindfulness approach is extremely effective for treating anxiety.

So if you'd like to see an online therapist for help with your anxiety and you like the mindfulness approach that I am specialized in and teach you during the online therapy sessions, then simply reach out to me via email and schedule an online therapy session. Thank you.

How to Overcome Anxiety through Mindfulness Meditation Therapy

Mindfulness Meditation Therapy is one of the most successful psychotherapies available for overcoming anxiety disorders. It has elements of CBT but focuses much more on changing the actual process that creates anxiety and depression in the mind.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist offering Mindfulness Therapy, which is my specialty and which I talk about in my book, "The Path of Mindfulness Meditation."

If you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety through mindfulness meditation, do please go to my website and learn more about this unique approach to overcoming anxiety.

Mindfulness Therapy is particularly effective for anxiety and also for depression, and this is because it teaches you how to change your relationship to your emotions and to your thoughts so that you don't become so easily overwhelmed by recurring patterns of emotional reactivity or intrusive thoughts.

This is the major problem that most people face - is what we often call "rumination" or "automatic reactive thinking" that triggers the underlying emotion of depression or anxiety.

Mindfulness allows us to break free from this automatic process by making it conscious. We begin to see the thoughts as triggers and the moment we see the process happening we can stop it right there and then through becoming conscious of that trigger.

With practice you can learn to see thoughts and emotional reactions as they arise in the mind, but then you are able to stop them turning into anxiety and depression. In this way, we take the fuel away from that underlying anxiety or depression. If you stop feeding the fire of anxiety or depression then the emotion will burn itself out and healing becomes possible.

During Mindfulness Therapy we learn how to actually meditate on our anxiety or depression or other painful emotions. And, it is through this process that you begin to change the whole process that creates the emotional suffering.

If you would like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety or depression using Mindfulness Therapy, please go to my website and CONTACT ME and then we can schedule a therapy session over Skype.

Mindfulness Therapy works really well through online Skype therapy sessions. So, please go to my website and contact me. Thank you!

Online Treatment Therapy for Anxiety, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) by Skype

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online mindfulness therapist and I provide online therapy for generalized anxiety disorder and other anxiety disorders through Skype.

So if you'd like to schedule a session with me to help you overcome your issues with generalized anxiety disorder please contact me and we can schedule a Skype Therapy session.

So, generalized anxiety disorder really describes a condition in which there is overwhelming habitual cognitive reactivity. It's basically excessive worrying or what I like to call "What If?" thinking. It's a runaway situation of thoughts that proliferate and magnify the underlying anxiety. So, it creates a kind of perfect storm in which the anxiety proliferates reactive thoughts and then those reactive thoughts reinforce the underlying anxiety.

So mindfulness therapy is one of the best approaches in my opinion, for overcoming these problems with habitual reactive thinking. You learn, in essence, how to change the way that you relate to those anxiety-producing thoughts so that they don't simply overwhelm you, they don't initiate progressive anxiety which then creates more thoughts that exacerbates the underlying anxiety in this storm.

It's quite easy to change generalized anxiety disorder if you take a very systematic approach to working with your thoughts and that's what I will teach you during these online mindfulness therapy sessions. I will teach you how to work with your thoughts and how to change your relationships so that you don't become consumed by them you don't become identified with your thoughts. That's the crucial part of the training. Thoughts in themselves are not a problem. It's when you become identified with those thoughts then they be they feed the anxiety.

So if you'd like to learn more simply e-mail me. Lets schedule a Skype therapy session for your generalized anxiety disorder. Thank you.
