Talk to a therapist via Skype for help with anxiety and depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online therapist. If you'd like to see an online therapist over Skype then please go to my website and learn more about this online psychotherapy service and feel free to contact me via e-mail to ask any questions you have about seeing a therapist online as opposed to seeing a therapist in an office.

From my experience there's no difference in the effectiveness of online therapy when compared to conventional in-person psychotherapy. What's much more important is the style of psychotherapy and the confidence that you feel about the therapist that you're working with.

So, as long as you can see each other, which of course is possible with Skype or other video platform, then I think the quality of communication is really no different whether it's online or in person.

So if you would like to see a therapist online do please consider online Mindfulness Therapy, which is what I specialize in. This approach is particularly effective for anxiety disorders, including agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, driving anxiety. other kinds of phobias, and also for depression, as well, and addiction that is associated with depression.

I see many many people for anxiety and also quite a few people like the greater privacy offered by online therapy as compared to clients who see a therapist in person. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your therapy sessions and I think the online format makes the sessions much more comfortable for you.

It is much less clinical in nature and of course the function of of online psychotherapy, like any other form of psychotherapy, should be to teach you how to work with your emotions so that you can overcome patterns of emotional suffering so that you can become more comfortable in your life.

If you would like to learn more about working with a Skype therapist and if you would like to schedule a Skype Therapy session with me, then do please go to my website and use the contact form and send me an email. You can ask any questions you like about Skype Therapy.

When you feel ready, we can schedule a Skype Therapy session at a time that is convenient for you. All you need is a good internet connection and Skype and PayPal to make secure online payments for your sessions and then we can get started. It's very easy and the mindfulness approach that I teach works extremely well online, and most people really enjoy this approach.

It's quite different than conventional talk therapy or counseling. It's very practical and is focused on giving you the tools that you need to overcome longstanding patterns of anxiety or depression. So please contact me and let's get started. Thank you.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional online therapist specializing in teaching Mindfulness Therapy for anxiety and depression and addictions and also for PTSD. If you're looking for online help for overcoming anxiety or depression or any other form of emotional suffering then please go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service and then contact me if you have any questions and to schedule a Skype Therapy session.

So Mindfulness Therapy provides one of the best approaches for working with the mind, with thoughts, with difficult emotional reactions, with painful and traumatic memories and compulsive patterns of thinking and behaving.

So Mindfulness Therapy is particularly good for working with OCD and other anxiety disorders. It teaches you how to break free from the psychological habits whereby you become reactively identified with your thoughts and emotions and beliefs. This is the biggest problem that we encounter, that we call "reactive identification.”

So thoughts for example may get triggered in the mind, and then we simply become completely consumed by those thoughts. They overwhelm us and they cause more thoughts in reaction to those first thoughts. So there's this proliferation of uncontrolled reactive thinking, and that feeds anxiety and depression and emotional trauma, and, of course, the compulsive behaviors that accompany OCD and addictions. So learning how to work with thoughts and emotions is extremely important.

The way we do this is by actually developing skills at meditating on those emotions and those intrusive thoughts, as well as meditating on traumatic memories. We have to overcome the natural reactive tendency to avoid and distract ourselves away from painful emotions. This simply leaves them unresolved and then they will continue to return and proliferate.

So we have to reverse avoidance and instead develop more conscious awareness around these painful emotions, and that is the first part of the training in mindfulness therapy. We learn to meditate on these emotions, which means we learn how to establish balance and overcome this pattern of reactive identification and further reactivity that feeds the underlying emotional pain and prevents it from healing. When you can sit with your anxiety without becoming anxious then things begin to change very quickly indeed.

So that's the first part of our training in Mindfulness Therapy and the second part of our mindfulness therapy training is learning how to actually help painful emotions heal, how to change the internal imagery that creates those emotions in the first place.

We look at the emotional imagery the way that we see anxiety or depression or trauma in the mind.

This imagery is what causes our emotional suffering and the imagery is habitual by nature and it simply operates in a conditioned manner as a psychological habit.

So when we bring mindfulness to this, we begin to uncover this imagery and we begin to explore ways of changing that imagery so that the emotion subsides, so you can learn how to resolve the emotional suffering around a traumatic event, for example, or you can learn to reduce and neutralize the imagery of anxiety or depression or any other form of emotional suffering.

So it's all about learning how to overcome these conditioned reactive habits. That's the real cause of our emotional suffering and Mindfulness Therapy provides the tools for doing this. If you would like to get started with Mindfulness Therapy with me then simply send me an email and let schedule a therapy session over Skype so that you can begin to learn these mindfulness techniques.

Most people see quite remarkable changes after just the first three or four sessions. It's because you're learning how to work directly with your emotions. Talking about your emotions is seldom sufficient to overcome significant chronic emotional suffering. Medications will do nothing to change the underlying cause of your emotional suffering. But actually bringing conscious awareness to the mechanism that causes our suffering is by far the most effective way of healing.

So if you like to get started with me to please contact me and let schedule a therapy session of the Skype. Thank you.

Talk to a therapist via Skype

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I provide online therapy via Skype. If you're looking for a Skype therapist to help you manage anxiety or depression or to work with addiction or to work with intrusive thoughts or emotional trauma, I am available to help. Please look at my website. And feel free to contact me if you have any questions about working with a Skype therapist.

Skype therapy is a very convenient way of getting the help that you need. We use Skype so that you can see each other. That's really important for quality psychotherapy. You need to see each other. But other than that, there's no difference between seeing a therapist via Skype or seeing a therapist in person. The quality of psychotherapy, of teaching and transmitting methods for working with anxiety and depression, is just as effective when done via Skype as it is in person.

For many people, the Skype therapy option is the most preferred option because it's much more comfortable for you. It's much easier. It's much less intimidating than going to see a therapist in an office.

The whole point of psychotherapy is to help you overcome your anxiety or depression and to learn the methods to do that. And it is not to look for a treatment-based approach. Medications are not an effective treatment for anxiety or depression. They simply suppress symptoms. You need to learn how to work with your emotions at the psychological level and that's what I teach during these online Skype therapy sessions.

If you'd like to learn more, then please go to my website and feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

So I specialize in mindfulness therapy. This is a very effective form of cognitive therapy. It's the next stage up from CBT. And the focus is primarily on working at the emotional level, not just working with thoughts, but working with the emotions underneath the thoughts. It's very effective and most people see substantial improvements after a few sessions with me when they start to apply the methods that I will be teaching.

We have to learn how to fundamentally change our relationship to our thoughts and to our emotions. We have to start developing more mindfulness, more conscious awareness and less reactive identification and reactivity in general towards our emotional pain.

If you react to anxiety or depression, you simply make it worse; react to trauma and you will make it more traumatic.

What we need to do is learn how to not react to our emotions, and this then opens up a space that allows healing to occur. So Non-reactivity is the first most essential method and strategy that I'll be teaching you during these Skype therapy sessions.

You then learn to develop more advanced qualities in our relationship with our emotions that are based on compassion and kindness and friendliness and other qualities that allow healing to occur. Reactivity prevents healing, but a mindful relationship based on friendliness and compassion and non-reactivity promotes healing.

So if you would like to learn more about working with me on your particular emotional pain, whether it's anxiety or depression or intrusive thoughts or traumatic memories or addiction, then do please contact me. And let's set up his Skype therapy session. Thank you.

Skype Therapy for recovering from chronic anxiety and depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist specializing in online mindfulness therapy. So a lot of people are looking for Skype therapy for anxiety and depression. Skype Therapy is a very effective and very convenient way of getting the help that you need to overcome your anxiety or depression. I offer a Skype Therapy, and have done so for over ten years now, in which I specifically teach mindfulness therapy for help with anxiety and depression and also addictions and many of the common psychological problems that cause emotional suffering.

So if you'd like to get started with Skype Therapy with me then simply e-mail me. Tell me more about yourself and what's happening for you emotionally and I'll be happy to explain to you how we can work on reducing the level of emotional suffering that you're experiencing by using the methods of mindfulness therapy.

I will teach you specifically how to apply mindfulness yourself for working with your emotions. This greatly increases the effectiveness of this approach. So we will work on your anxiety or depression during sessions using mindfulness but you will be able to continue that work between sessions. This means that you will see results much quicker than in conventional talk therapy.

We work at a very practical level really learning how to work with our thoughts and with our emotions more effectively. We have to learn how to break free from that habit of becoming overwhelmed by reactive thinking or becoming a prisoner of our learned emotional reactions.

Anxiety and Depression are best thought of as being habits. They are learned habits. We acquire these habits and then we become a prisoner of them. So mindfulness therapy is a way of learning how to break free from these habits and how to neutralize them.

So all habits thrive on unawareness, they operate unconsciously, and in mindfulness therapy we employ more consciousness. We learn how to bring conscious awareness to these habits and that's one of the first principles for breaking out of any kind of habit is to make them more conscious, to bring consciousness to them. And the way we do that is by actually learning to meditate on our anxiety or depression or other emotions. This is a way of bringing that consciousness to them that will eventually break the habit.

We learn to observe our reactive thoughts as well. Reactive thoughts effectively feeds anxiety and depression and when they are operating unconsciously they provide a continuous source of fuel. So we need to see these patterns of reactive thinking very clearly and we need to change our relationship to them so that they don't overwhelm us, they don't take away our choice, they don't control us.

So we meditate on our thoughts. This way we become the observer of those thoughts. Being the observer stops us becoming identified with the thoughts. So that process of reactive identification is the main problem. It Is the way that we simply become overwhelmed and identified with conditioned emotional reactions and thoughts. So we learn to break free from that by developing more consciousness. That is the first training in mindfulness therapy.

The second is learning to change the emotion itself, learning to heal that anxiety or depression. So healing is a very big part of mindfulness therapy. There are many aspects to the healing process but the most important is developing this conscious and caring relationship that is so much a part of mindfulness training with your emotions. We learn to develop compassion towards your anxiety or depression. We learn to develop compassion towards your emotional pain. This is an essential part of the healing process. The biggest problem for most people is that the anxiety or depression becomes isolated, they become disconnected from the emotional pain. And when that emotional pain is disconnected or abandoned or neglected then it cannot heal.

If you'd like to learn more about the mindfulness approach for healing anxiety and depression please contact me. This approach is very effective. People usually see quite big changes after the first few sessions with me.

My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional therapist based in Boulder, Colorado, USA. I offer therapy online through Skype.

Have you ever considered speaking to a therapist online? Online Therapy a very good and very popular choice these days. Many people are choosing online therapy service as an alternative to a meeting with a therapist in an office. One reason is that it is considerably more convenient, of course, since you don't have to drive to the therapist's office. You don't have to take out the time to do that. You can call from home, or from your office, or wherever you are, even from your hotel room if you're traveling abroad. It's definitely preferable for most people.

With the advent of Skype it's now possible to talk to a therapist online and see him or her in real-time. It's really just the same as if you were in the office together. I've been providing online counseling for a number of years now. As far as I'm concerned there is no real difference between online or in-person therapy, especially if you're teaching some form of cognitive therapy or mindfulness therapy, as I teach, where the emphasis is on teaching skills for working with difficult emotions. This can be transmitted online through Skype just as well as it can face-to-face in the office.

Therapy through Skype is particularly good for learning how to overcome anxiety and depression. I teach Mindfulness Therapy, which is one of the best approaches available for anxiety and which works well online.

Traditional talk therapy can be helpful, but often it does not transform the underlying structure that is the real cause of your anxiety and depression.

This also applies to the use of medications - the drug may provide a temporary relief from symptoms for awhile, but medications will not heal the underlying cause that produces your emotional suffering.

The style of psychotherapy that I provide is known as Mindfulness Therapy, which is very powerful for controlling chronic anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression and other mental difficulties where there exists an inherent process of conditioned reactive thinking.

People like the online therapy approach. Looking for Skype Therapy for Anxiety & Depression?

If you're looking for Skype therapy for help with anxiety or depression or any other emotional problem that can benefit from psychotherapy then I do encourage you to look at my website and learn more about the online therapy service that I provide over Skype.

Skype is a very effective way of connecting clients and therapist together. You can see each other and this makes the therapy sessions as good as being in person for the vast majority of people.

Skype therapy is designed to help you learn more effective methods of working with your mind. It is designed to teach you how to work with your emotions and with your thoughts such that you don't become overwhelmed by them, that you don't become controlled by emotional and cognitive reactivity.

And the particular style of psychotherapy that I offer online is called Mindfulness Therapy. This has proved to be incredibly effective for treating anxiety and depression because it focuses very much on learning how to break free from those reactive habits, whereby we become lost in our reactive thinking or emotional reactivity. It allows you to break free from those habits and then effectively heal the underlying emotional suffering by developing a non-reactive relationship with your emotions and also with your thoughts.

Developing this conscious and non-reactive and non-habitual relationship with your emotions and thoughts is critical for change. This is how you are able to start the process of healing. Healing is really a function of how well you can stay conscious with your emotional pain. Our habit is to become reactive. We essentially lose consciousness and we become overwhelmed by our emotional pain. So learning how to break this habit is absolutely essential for any kind of meaningful psychotherapy. For mindfulness therapy, this is our primary focus. We start this In Session 1 and we develop it each week until you achieve that freedom.

The effects are quite dramatic and most clients that I work with see quite substantial changes within three to four sessions. And this is what you should be aiming for. Psychotherapy is not meant to be endless, it's meant to be very focused and give you the tools that you need to better manage your mind. In mindfulness therapy this is a very important principle. We want to produce results quickly, and as I say, most clients see quite quite big changes within the first few sessions.

So after establishing a non-reactive and mindful relationship with your emotions and with intrusive thoughts you then proceed to help these emotions heal. And we do this by developing a very compassionate relationship as well as a very conscious relationship with those emotions. This is necessary to help them heal. We learn how to interact with our emotions in a way that promotes healing and not further reactivity.

The best example that explains what this means is to look at the relationship between a parent and a child. If a parent becomes reactive and lost in their own reactivity then they cannot help the child heal if the child is suffering. For that to occur the parent must be free from reactivity he or she must be able to form a conscious and compassionate and loving relationship with the child in order to effect healing and help the child overcome its own suffering.

This relationship is exactly what we must cultivate internally in our in relationship to our emotions and also thoughts. We must build a relationship that is not only conscious but also based on compassion, friendliness and even love. We must learn to develop a friendly relationship towards our anxiety or depression or sadness or guilt or shame. Whatever it is we must build that quality of relationship with it if it is to heal. If we simply react with avoidance and aversion or resistance or suppression, then the emotions cannot heal.

So developing the right kind of relationship with our mind is quite essential. I will teach you exactly how to do this using mindfulness and in the first few sessions you will rapidly learn how to change the way that you relate to your emotions to your thoughts and also to your memories, if you are suffering from traumatic memories.
