If you would like to schedule a session please let me know and we will find a time that works for you.

So the whole basis of the mindfulness therapy approach that I offer via Skype is about teaching you how to change the relationship that you have with your anxiety or depression. The relationship is the central most important thing that determines whether you become a victim of anxiety or depression or whether you can facilitate the healing of anxiety or depression.

The real problem is what we call reactive identification whereby we simply become consumed by our emotions. We contract into the emotion and we take on the identity of the emotion.

So when you say, "I am afraid" you literally become the fear. In the mindfulness training that I offer we learn to break this habit, the primary cause of your anxiety. Instead, we learn to see the fear or the depression or the anxiety as an object in the mind.

It is essential you break the habit of becoming identified with it. When you do that you stop feeding the emotion, you stop fueling it through reactive thinking and other forms that reactivity that we also become identified with. It is very, very important that you learn to establish a relationship that is non-reactive with your emotions.

This creates the right internal conditions whereby the emotions begin to heal and change themselves, and anxiety will change if you stop identifying with it and stop reacting to it. It takes in training but its really quite simple, and when you take this very direct approach to working with anxiety, depression you'll be quite surprised at how fast things change.

So if you learn more about Skype therapy and how to effectively treat anxiety without using medications then please email me and let's schedule a Skype therapy session.

Standard counseling can be beneficial, but often it does not alter the habitual psychological process that creates your anxiety and depression.

The same can be said for medications - the medication may relieve symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for transforming the underlying process that produces the emotional pain.

The school of psychotherapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is quite successful for handling anxiety and for treating chronic depression or other emotional problems resulting from conditioned reactive thinking. Most people notice real improvements after 3-4 sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.

Skype Therapy Service - Psychotherapy Online - Talk to a Therapist online through Skype for highly effective online psychotherapy for Anxiety and Depression, Social Anxiety Disorder and Agoraphobia, Addictions, and other forms of emotional stress, including PTSD.

This online psychotherapy service is available world-wide, including the USA, UK and Europe. All you need is an internet connection and you are ready to start online therapy with Dr. Strong.

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online therapist specializing in mindfulness therapy. This Skype therapy counseling service is really designed to help you work with your emotions using techniques of mindfulness therapy that I developed many years ago now and that I talk about in my book "The Path of Mindfulness Meditation.

Mindfulness therapy is immensely effective, especially for anxiety and for depression, as well, where the principle cause of the emotion is reactive thinking. It's habitual reactive thinking or rumination that simply feeds the anxiety or depression in the same way that throwing wood on a fire feeds the fire and prevents the fire from burning itself out.

So reactive thinking is one of the principal things we must change if we want to get over anxiety or depression we do this by building a relationship with our emotions.

We learn to meditate on our anxiety or depression or any other emotion for that matter. We build a relationship in which we cultivate consciousness, conscious awareness, so that we stay conscious and are able to prevent the mind from becoming overwhelmed by the reactive thinking.

We can see thoughts without becoming lost in those thoughts. This requires training that will not happen automatically but it will happen if we make the choice to train ourselves to remain independent in relationship to our thoughts. So this is a very important part of mindfulness therapy that I offer during these Skype counseling therapy sessions. We learn how to sit with our emotions.

This prevents them growing, essentially, it prevents the emotions feeding in the same way that that fire fed when we put more fuel onto it. If we stop feeding our anxiety or depression with reactive thinking then those emotions will begin to subside and burn themselves out. And in then this way we are actually creating a new pathway in the brain through which those emotions gradually lose strength and resolve themselves.

So reactivity simply strengthens the emotions, but non-reactivity activity weakens the emotions and allows them to dissipate and diffuse.

Skype Counseling Therapy for Overcoming Anxiety and Depression without relying on medications

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I provide online Skype counseling therapy for anxiety and depression and for work with addictions and many other common forms of psychological suffering that are due to habitual reactive thinking.

So the primary way that we go about changing anxiety and depression is by looking for these underlying patterns of habitual reactive thinking. Thinking does not cause anxiety or depression, but when thoughts become reactive, they tend to feed the anxiety and depression very much in the same way that fuel feeds a fire. The fire needs that fuel in order to stay alive. And it's the same for anxiety and depression and most other forms of emotional suffering. They require fuel to keep going. And that fuel is provided in the form of habitual, reactive thoughts.

The issue that most people have is that they're not aware of these thoughts. They're not aware of them in the sense that they have a conscious, objective relationship to these reactive thoughts. The most typical situation is that the reactive thoughts become habitual. They operate subconsciously out of awareness.

So we may be aware of the suffering. We may be aware of the triggers that led to that suffering, but we're not really fully consciously aware of the reactive thoughts that are generated and that feed the underlying anxiety or depression.

So the chief object in mindfulness therapy, which is what I specialize in, is developing a fully conscious relationship with your reactive thoughts so that you can see them very clearly. The more that you can develop objective awareness of your thoughts, the less power they will have to create the underlying anxiety or depression.

So we're training to look at those thoughts and not identify with them. And not believe them, not disbelieve them. It is not necessary to analyze the thoughts. It's not necessary to try and convince yourself that the thoughts are irrational. You're not trying to really get rid of the thoughts. All you are trying to do is cultivate that all-important conscious awareness. When you can see the thoughts, then you have choice.

And so through meditation, you can begin to break the habit of reactive thinking, worrying, rumination and so on that is the real fuel source for the underlying anxiety or depression. When you cut off the fuel source, then you create the right inner environment in which those forms of emotional suffering can heal, Anxiety and depression will heal the moment you stop feeding them with reactive thinking.

You can also increase the rate of healing by developing not only a conscious relationship, a mindful relationship with those thoughts and the emotions, but also developing a relationship based on friendliness and compassion. So you learn to develop a friendly relationship with your anxiety or depression. You develop a friendly relationship with the thoughts that feed that anxiety or depression.

To be friendly means that you are free. That is one of the characteristics of the free mind, the mind that is not identified. It is free. And in that freedom, it can develop those qualities of friendliness and compassion. These are two essential aspects of mindfulness. Mindfulness is the development of direct conscious awareness characterized by friendliness and compassion.

So when you bring that quality of mind to your anxiety or depression that will greatly accelerate the rate of healing. So if you don't feed the fire of anxiety and depression, those emotions will heal by themselves, eventually. But if you add in the ingredients of friendliness and compassion, then you accelerate that rate of healing considerably.

So this is a brief overview of mindfulness therapy. There's a lot more to learn. And I will teach you all about how to apply mindfulness to overcome anxiety and depression during these online Skype therapy sessions.

So if you would like to schedule some online counseling therapy sessions with me, then please go to my website. Send me a request through my contact page. Tell me what times work for you. Tell me more about your particular situation. And we can schedule some sessions and you can see for yourself just how effective both online therapy is and also how effective mindfulness therapy can be for healing emotional suffering.
