But it doesn't necessarily change the way that you feel and that's the issue. 


Feelings really require a different approach than just analysis and trying to construct arguments against feeling anxious, for example. Everyone who suffers from panic attacks knows that they are having an irrational episode. They know that, at least every one I've ever worked with knows that they do not need to feel the anxiety or the depression or panic attacks that they experience, but they can't stop them. 


Arguing, trying to convince yourself not to feel the way you feel is just not really sufficient. You have to get down to the level of the emotions themselves that feed those thoughts and make them so powerful. And that's what we focus on in the mindfulness therapy approach that I have developed and teach online.
