MIX, DRAIN and RESERVE juice with fruit in strainer for about an hour
500 g fruit, chopped
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 t salt
SLIGHTLY REDUCE reserved juices then ADD OFF HEAT:
1 T lemon juice
Pinch of cardamom
1/4 t almond extract
2 T butter
TOSS reserved fruit with:
1/4 c AP flour
ALL of the prepared syrup
POUR everything into prepared, single pie shell, FOLD, FREEZE, EGG WASH, DUST with sugar, and then BAKE at 400 for about 40-45 minutes
