Inadequate Specimen
Sometimes, despite appropriate performance of EMB, there is insufficient tissue for pathologic diagnosis. In the setting of AUB, further diagnostic work up should be completed, as this finding is not adequately reassuring. Alternative diagnostic procedures are outlined in Other Methods for Evaluating AUB section of this unit.
