Types of Manual Medicine

Previous | Next

There are different approaches to the treatment of somatic dysfunction. Many times more than one type of technique is used during treatment and in some cases multiple styles will be used on the same area of somatic dysfunction. The type of technique used is dependent on the practitioners' training and skill, contraindications, as well as patient responsiveness to the treatment. Training in manual medicine varies depending on the type of practitioner and where he/she obtained his/her education. Please see Practitioners of Manual Medicine to learn more.
