Now that you have learned about various types of meditation tecniques, you can return to the main part of the module.

Some patients have trouble practicing meditation because they associate meditation with a specific religious philosophy such as Buddhism, and they believe it runs counter to the practice of Western religious doctrine. However, Christianity has a long tradition of contemplative and meditative practices. Daily bible study and prayer can be easily adapted to meditation practice. Sometimes a Christian term such as "marantha" (roughly translated as "The Lord is coming") is used as a focusing mantra for meditation.
