Medical Treatises
The earliest major source on acupuncture was compiled in the first century BC (Han Dynasty 206 BC-220 AD) called the Huang Di Nei Jing (Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic) – a collection of 81 treatises separated into two works.
In the 2nd century AD, Chinese medicine reached the apex of theoretical and clinical cohesiveness via a unified theory in the Nan Jing (Classic of Difficult Issues).
