Things to Remember

Make sure you are certain of where you are placing the FSE. Do not place over a suture line or fontanel. Though, it can be placed on the buttock or heel of a difficult-to-monitor second twin who is breech, while the first twin is cephalic. Tracing is similar regardless of site of insertion.
Do not place FSE on a mother with unknown Hepatitis B or HIV status
Do not forget to remove the FSE (or ask your nurse to do so) if mom goes for C-section before the surgery starts.
