Comfort
Use a pacifier dipped in 24% sucrose solution as needed for comfort. The 24% sucrose solution is unstable and must be prepared by pharmacy and is kept in the refrigerator in the nurses' station. It is important to start using pacifier with sucrose before injection of lidocaine.
