Eggs

  • Eggs are an excellent source of high quality protein, vitamins and minerals. A whole egg contains almost every essential vitamin and mineral needed by humans (except vitamin C.)

  • Eggs with high omega-3 content are produced by feeding chickens a diet of natural grains fortified with algae or flax seed.

  • A healthy diet can include up to one whole egg per day, on average. People with certain health conditions, like diabetes or hyperlipidemia, may need to further limit their egg yolk consumption to three per week.
