Side Effects

Mild side effects such as light headedness may occur immediately after manual medicine. Patients are advised to rise slowly to a seated position and wait a few moments until they are ready to stand.

Twenty-four to 48 hours after a manual medicine treatment, transient muscular soreness is sometimes noted. This mild discomfort will resolve within a day or can be relieved with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication such as ibuprophen.

A sense of relaxation or release of tension is generally noted at the completion of treatment.
