Placement of Gomco Base Plate

Place the base plate so that the bell handle comes through the bevel hole, as shown in Figure 1 below.

Because of the remaining inferior positioned hemostat, the whole bell cannot obviously go through the bevel hole. Use another hemostat and clamp the slit edges shut from above as shown in Figure 2 below.

Be careful to get a good bite of both edges of the prepuce. This will prevent slippage, loss of progress and need to re-secure the bell again. Now the lower hemostat can be unclamped and removed, and the bell pulled up completely through the bevel hole. See Figure 3 below.
