Non-Physician Training
Non-physician acupuncturists generally undergo three years of full time graduate training. An additional fourth year may be added for Chinese Herbology.
Not all states license non-physician acupuncturists.
The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) oversees regulation, testing and national certification of all practitioners.
