Upper Respiratory Infection (URI)

The purpose of this unit is to provide you with the knowledge and evidence necessary to counsel patients on the use of natural products for the alleviation of symptoms of the common cold. Upper respiratory infections are common presenting problems for family physicians. Unrestrained use of antibiotics is increasing resistance of organisms and causing concern. This is in tension with the patients' desire to be helped by the physician. Natural products are a possible solution providing satisfaction to both patient and physician.

Anyone may take the Post-Test, but all U-M Department of Family Medicine residents must complete the Post-Test to document competency. After completing the Post-Test, please complete the Unit Evaluation.

Enjoy!
