Chiropractors

Previous | Next

Chiropractors have two to four years of undergraduate education and have completed four years of training at an accredited school of chiropractic. Chiropractors practice holistic medicine, incorporating exercise, lifestyle change, and nutrition counseling into their practice. Although training varies, chiropractors generally focus their treatment on the spine with the use of High Velocity Low Amplitude (HVLA) techniques.

Radiography is commonly used in chiropractic assessment. In addition, many chiropractors also use therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, water or heat therapy, electric stimulation, massage, and acupuncture. Chiropractors do not prescribe medications or perform surgery.
