Chi is considered a vivifying force contained in (and circulating through) all natural phenomenon and life forms.
Chi is usually translated as 'energy,' which is useful but not quite accurate.
The Chinese character for Chi has two components: lower - 'rice' and upper - 'vapor.'
This character identifies Chi as the finest material quality still available to human perception.
