Myofascial Release

Emotional and physical tension can be stored in the soft tissues of the body. The goal of myofascial technique is to identify three-dimensional patterns of tension and restore them to functional symmetry. This is accomplished by positioning the soft tissues with compression, traction, and twisting in such a way that the biomechanical loading modulates the release of neural reflexes by stimulation of mechanoreceptors within the fascia.
