Meridians

  • In Chinese medical theory, 12 principal channels called meridians exist in the human body.

  • These meridians are located along fascial planes that course between and through skeletal muscle and connect to internal organs.

  • Chi flows through these meridians in an organized fashion to provide nourishment and protection to the organism.

  • Each meridian is paired with an organ. (Please refer to the Organs Section).
