Trigger Point Release

Myofascial trigger points are hyperirritable nodules within taut tissue bands. They are tender and often twitch upon palpation, and have characteristic pain referral patterns which have been well mapped. Trigger points are treated with dry needling with or without lidocaine or by a compression technique called inhibitory release.
