Totally Addicting Snickerdoodles
What you need:
- 1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs, at room temp
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tarter
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
- Cream together butter, shortening, and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Mix together 4 tbsp. sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake at 375* for 8 minutes. Let rest on cookie sheet for 2 minutes and then remove to wire rack.
