The Very Best Salisbury Steak*

What you need:

    • 1 can Campbell's French onion soup
    • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
    • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
    • 1 egg
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper, to taste
    • 1 tbsp. flour
    • 1/4 cup ketchup
    • 1 to 3 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, to taste (I put a like 3 tbsp. LOL)
    • 1/2 tsp. mustard powder
    • 1/4 cup water

Directions:

    1. In a bowl, combine 1/3 cup French onion soup with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Then shape into 6 patties.
    2. In a large skillet, brown both sides of the patties over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
    3. In a small bowl, blend flour and rest of soup until smooth. Mix in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder.
    4. Pour mixture over meat in skillet. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. I had to turn down my heat a little to keep the steaks from burning.
