Baked Oven Fries

What you need:

    • 3 russet potatoes, peeled and wedged
    • 5 tbsp. olive oil
    • 3/4 tsp. kosher salt, plus some
    • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper, plus some

Directions:

    1. Place potato wedges into a bowl and cover with hot water. Soak for 10 to 30 minutes.
    2. Drain potatoes and pat dry. Return to bowl and toss with 1 tbsp. oil.
    3. Place remaining 4 tbsp. oil in a rimmed baking sheet and spread to coat evenly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    4. Place potatoes on baking sheet. Wrap the baking sheet with foil and bake at 475* for 5 minutes.
    5. Remove foil and bake for 15 to 20 more minutes. Rotate your baking sheet halfway through cooking.
    6. Remove from oven and flip. Bake for 5 to 15 more minutes. Rotate again halfway through cooking.
