Butterbeer
What you need:
For the Butterbeer:
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temp
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/16 tsp. ground cloves
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp. toffee bits
- 1/3 cup spiced rum
- 1 cup boiling water
For the Foam:
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. butter
Directions:
- Beat together brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in toffee bits and then transfer to a large measuring cup.
- Add rum, then boiling water. Stir until butter mixture dissolves.
- Pour through a sieve to catch any toffee bits that didn't dissolve fully, then divide into 2 mugs.
- Whip heavy cream for 3-4 minutes, until it starts to thicken.
- Add sugar and keep whipping until soft peaks form, around 3-4 more minutes.
- Stir in vanilla and butter, then whip 30 more seconds.
- Spoon a heaping dollop of foam onto the top of each mug and mix gently. Serve immediately.
- Then wait for your Hogwarts acceptance letter.
