Copycat McDonald's Cheeseburgers
What you need:
- 2 tsp. dried minced onions
- 8 tsp. boiling water
- 1 lb. ground beef (makes 4 patties)
- 4 plain hamburger buns
- Salt, to taste
- American cheese
- Ketchup, mustard, dill pickles
Directions:
- Place the dried onions in a small bowl.
- Add boiling water and stir. Set aside to let them rehydrate.
- Using wax paper, press the g. beef into 4 patties that are 1/8-inch thick…or as thin as you can get them.
- Cook burger for 2 minutes on each side, salting lightly. Add cheese and let melt.
- Place patty on bun and top with ketchup, mustard, pickles and onion crystals.
- In the original recipe, Heather grilled the faces of the bun. After assembly she nuked them for 15 seconds.
