Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
What you need:
- 1 beef roast
- 2 pkg. Italian Dressing seasoning mix
- 1 beer
- 6 tbsp. butter
- 1 large onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 slices pepper jack cheese, broken up into small pieces
- Hawaiian sweet rolls
Directions:
- Place roast in crockpot. Pour seasoning mix packets over beef and then pour the beer all over.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- Shred and keep on low while you prepare the veggies and cheese sauce.
- Melt 6 tbsp. butter in skillet. Add onions and cook for 15 to 20 minutes on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add green bell and cook until tender.
- For cheese sauce, create a rue with 2 tbsp. butter and flour. Let cook, while stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add milk and stir until thickened. Remove from heat.
- Add cheeses and stir until they have melted.
- To serve: top sliced roll with shredded meat, veggies, and then cheese sauce.
