Cinnamon Roll Waffles

What you need:

Waffles:

    • 1 3/4 cup flour
    • 2 tbsp. sugar
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups buttermilk
    • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cinnamon Topping:

    • 1/2 cup butter, melted*
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream Cheese Topping:

    • 4 tbsp. butter
    • 2 oz. cream cheese
    • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
    • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

*I may try softened butter next time. My consistency is always off on these kinds of cinnamon mixtures. Too liquidy.

Directions:

    1. For the Waffles: Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Make a well in it.
    2. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
    3. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
    4. Pour batter into a waffle iron in batches and cook until browned.
    5. For the Cinnamon Topping: Mix together all ingredients.
    6. For the Cream Cheese Topping: Heat butter and cream cheese in microwave for about 20 seconds. Mix together. Then whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.
    7. Drizzle waffles with cinnamon topping and then cream cheese topping.
