DIY Cream of Celery Soup

What you need:

    • 3 Tbsp. butter
    • 3 Tbsp. flour
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup diced celery
    • 1 Tbsp. finely diced onions

Directions:

    1. Melt butter over medium heat.
    2. Add celery and onions - cook until soft.
    3. Whisk in flour until relatively smooth and cook 1 to 2 minutes.
    4. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until desired thickness is reached.

Notes:

*This equals one can of the store bought stuff.

*To make mushroom: substitute 1/4 cup diced mushrooms for celery.

*To make chicken: use 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup chicken broth, instead of celery and onions - use finely diced chicken if you have it, and add 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning.
