Spring Asparagus & Gouda Quiche
What you need:
- 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 shallots, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 bunch asparagus, chopped
- 1 cup gouda, shredded
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup half-and-half
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Salt and pepper
- Pie crust
Directions:
- Melt butter in a skillet and cook shallots for 1 to 2 minutes. Add garlic and asparagus and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add asparagus and cheese to pie crust, smooth as evenly as possible.
- Beat eggs with half-and-half, nutmeg, and salt and pepper. Pour over asparagus and cheese.
- Bake at 350* for 55 to 60 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
