Cake Mix Dinner Rolls
What you need:
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 3 1/4 cups bread flour (all-purpose is fine too)
- 1/2 a pkg of yellow cake mix (1 1/4 cups)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Directions:
- Dissolve yeast in warm water and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Stir in flour and cake mix. Beat until mixture is smooth.
- Knead on a lightly floured surface until no longer sticky, adding flour in as needed.
- In a greased bowl, cover dough with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled, approx an hour.
- Punch down dough and turn out on a lightly floured surface. Separate dough into 2 pieces and shape each into a ball. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Roll each ball into a 12-inch circle. Brush each circle with butter.
- Just like slicing a pizza, cut the circle into 12 triangles. Roll up wedges from wide end to the point and bend ends to make it look like a crescent.
- Place on a greased cookie sheet, cover with saran wrap and let rise for 25 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Brush with more butter after taking out of the oven.
