Cake Mix Dinner Rolls

What you need:

    • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
    • 1 1/2 cups warm water
    • 3 1/4 cups bread flour (all-purpose is fine too)
    • 1/2 a pkg of yellow cake mix (1 1/4 cups)
    • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions:

    1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let stand for 10 minutes.
    2. Stir in flour and cake mix. Beat until mixture is smooth.
    3. Knead on a lightly floured surface until no longer sticky, adding flour in as needed.
    4. In a greased bowl, cover dough with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled, approx an hour.
    5. Punch down dough and turn out on a lightly floured surface. Separate dough into 2 pieces and shape each into a ball. Let rest for 5 minutes.
    6. Roll each ball into a 12-inch circle. Brush each circle with butter.
    7. Just like slicing a pizza, cut the circle into 12 triangles. Roll up wedges from wide end to the point and bend ends to make it look like a crescent.
    8. Place on a greased cookie sheet, cover with saran wrap and let rise for 25 minutes.
    9. Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Brush with more butter after taking out of the oven.
