DIY Vanilla Extract

What you need:

  • Vanilla beans
  • Liquor - I used 750mL of vodka
  • A clean, airtight container to store it in

Directions:

    1. You'll need about 8 to 10 beans per 750mL of alcohol.
    2. Split the vanilla beans down the middle. Place into your container.
    3. Fill with alcohol and place the lid on top.
    4. Store in a dark place for around 2 months. Shake lightly once a week. Then you are ready to go!
