Double Crunch Honey Garlic Pork Chops
What you need:
- Pork chops, trimmed
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 tbsp. ground ginger
- 1 tbsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. ground thyme
- 1 tsp. ground sage
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp. water
Directions:
- Sift together flour and seasonings in a pie dish.
- Mix together eggs and water in a separate bowl to create an egg wash.
- Salt and pepper both sides of pork with salt and pepper. Then dip in flour mixture. Then dip in egg wash. Then dip back in flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown both sides of pork chops until they are golden and crispy.
- Drain on paper towel-lined plate and prepare Honey Garlic Sauce (recipe follows).
Honey Garlic Sauce
What you need:
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
Directions:
- In a saucepan, soften garlic in the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add honey, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Then allow to cool.
- Dip double crunch pork chops in sauce or drizzle over top.
