Mujer detenida por ir conduciendo en Al-Ras (400km W de Riyadh) (May 23, 2011) - Riyadh NP reports: women in my hometown Al Ras, were caught driving after a man called police.They were in a pick-up, driver in her forties. The police followed them until they stopped for groceries. The officer arrested the driver & she & other woman cried & begged to be released. It turns out they had no immediate male relative living with them to drive them for errands. Traffic police & PVPV were called to the site. The women's neighbor got involved & took them home. Their car was confiscated for further investigation.
