Herbed Goat Cheese with Walnut Crostini

Ingredients

Fresh Goat cheese 8 oz. (225)

Crème fraiche ½ cup (120ml)

Shallots, minced ¼ cup (60ml)

Lemon, juice and zest 1 each lemon

Olive oil 2 Tbsp

Flat leaf Parsley, minced 1 Tbsp

Chives, minced 1 Tbsp

Sea salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Walnut bread, toasted 12 to 16 slices

Procedure

  1. In a bowl whip together the goat cheese and crème fraiche with the shallots, lemon juice and zest, olive oil, parsley and chives. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  2. To serve, spread the herbed goat cheese on the toasted walnut bread and garnish with a toasted walnut.

Makes 2 cups

Or just take fresh goat cheese and roll it in a mixture of fresh chopped herbs with a a tiny bit of olive oil, sea salt and pepper.
