Ingredients

Keep on hand at home:

salt

baking soda

vinegar

borax

Use as little as possible:

soda water

rubbing alcohol

bleach

ammonia

Procedure

I use vinegar routinely to remove hard water problems in the bathroom. You can even tie a bag of vinegar on the showerhead to dissolve hard water buildup. I also use Borax powder to clean many surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. Where you may use a scouring powder try to use baking soda and salt first.

General cleaner: salt and bubbly soda water

Glass and stainless steel cleaner: 50% rubbing alcohol to 50% water plus

1 T white vinegar or ammonia

Lime buildup: Soak in white vinegar for 1 hour

Bathroom cleaners: I primarily use Borax - -another cleaner would be to use a 10% bleach solution

Spray cleaner: 1 C white vinegar and 1 C water - use warm to boost cleaning
