Uncle Paul's Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

Diced rutabaga, diced carrots, diced onions -- sautee together in some oil until onions translucent -- all portion sizes are up to you

Add in can navy beans, can corn, can diced tomatoes, large container of chicken or vegetable broth, any seasonal or leftover veggies (for Dot's Vegetable Soup, substitute okra for tomatoes)

Seasonings: salt, Mrs Dash, tumeric

Cook over low boil for about 45 minutes, then let sit for at least a half hour, for flavors to combine. Eat with bread. (As a kid, I remember going with my family to the House of David restaurant in Benton Harbor and having vegetable soup and bread).
